Who are we?
After many years of not having a networking group, we joined forces and decided to have an impact on Social Services as we know it. This meant meeting on a regular basis, committing to the upward advancement of an ongoing resource/ network pool that would assist us on a daily basis not just monthly and expressing a desire to work towards promoting a stronger and more secure network basis that will allow us to expand and grow in years to come. Essentially, we are a large conglomerate of Social Services professionals employed by numerous agencies and companies throughout the North East Ohio Area who are committed to networking with a purpose.
The mission of North East Ohio Social Service Coordinators (NEOSSC) Networking Group is to provide and increase networking opportunities within a secure professional setting that will allow social service providers an opportunity to expand their resources.
We are a group of social service professionals that felt a need to network and connect so that we could have a greater impact on the population we serve. Our group consists of Social Service Coordinators, Activity Directors, and other professional individuals working within the housing industry including Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities (NORC’s) who are committed to improving the quality of life for senior and disabled individuals in our communities. This organization started in December 2007 and our goal is to assist Social Service Coordinators
Many of our NEOSSC Network Members are affiliated with American Association of Service Coordinators (AASC), National Council on Aging (NCOA), some are Licensed Social Workers (LSW/LISW), Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) Volunteers, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors and so much more. We have a wealth of knowledge and a desire to stay connected with the various changes in our professional.
Our organization is constantly seeking individuals to assist and/or sponsor a meeting. Your participation will assist us in our efforts to remain informed of new services available to senior and disabled individuals in our area while keeping us abreast of the many opportunities available to our residents on an ongoing basis. Please contact our President, DeNeitra Brown via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org to secure an opportunity to speak to our group.
